El Bells

Details
Entry into the Bells is through a vertical shaft that is about 30 meters deep and leads to the open sea. From there, we dive along the reef wall to the Blue Hole, passing by large coral colonies and accompanied by trumpetfish, damselfish, and the occasional cleaner fish. This dive is for experienced divers and offers spectacular views and impressive depths.

The Blue Hole is one of the most famous dive sites in the world, located just 20 minutes north of Dahab. The legendary "Arch" at a depth of 52 meters connects the Blue Hole with the open sea and is a highlight for technical divers. The saddle and walls of the Blue Hole offer numerous exploration opportunities for recreational divers.

Tiger House

Details
Located south of the Blue Hole, this dive site features a coral garden and a canyon at a depth of 45 meters. Entry is via a jetty built over the reef flat, making it most comfortable to dive in calm winds and high tide. Here, you can find a variety of reef fish, including parrotfish, triggerfish, and bannerfish.

Canyon

Details
Upon entering the shallow lagoon, we are surrounded by vibrant coral gardens. If we keep to the left, we dive towards the famous Canyon. Experienced divers can explore the interior of the Canyon, which opens up into a large underwater chamber with depths ranging from 30 to 40 meters—ideal for SSI Deep Diver Specialty Dives. After the Canyon, we dive along the shallow reef wall southward to the lagoon, where we perform our safety stop.

Coral Garden

Details
To reach the Coral Garden, we dive through the Canyon Lagoon. Keeping to the right, we arrive at extensive coral gardens that range from shallow 5 meters to the reef edge at around 21 meters. Here, we encounter blue-spotted stingrays, schools of fusiliers, damselfish, and sometimes even giant moray eels.

Eel Garden

You enter via a wide reef flat, so this dive site is only accessible in calm winds and during high tide. The dive takes you over a vast sandy area with countless sand eels. On the return, you dive along the beautifully colored fringing reef, where schools of fish and various marine creatures abound.

Light House

The dive site Lighthouse is located at the northern tip of the promenade and is suitable for divers of all experience levels. The reef starts with a sandy slope that leads to large coral blocks and rocks. Here, you'll encounter a variety of reef fish, octopuses, turtles, and Napoleon wrasse.

Trash Area (Banner Fish Bay)

Located directly south of Lighthouse, this dive site offers almost guaranteed encounters with bannerfish. It is particularly interesting for underwater photographers due to the underwater museum and the diverse fauna, including parrotfish and cornetfish.

A spacious dive site that can be explored to the north or south. To the north, you'll find reef tongues with coral blocks, while to the south, there are seagrass-covered mounds and an underwater museum. Fish & Friends also offers ideal conditions for learning to dive in the SSI Open Water Diver course. Here, you'll encounter shrimp, dragonets, stonefish, and numerous damselfish.

Mashraba Reef

Situated to the south of the promenade, this reef showcases a vividly colored rock at 25 meters and a tunnel to swim through at 36 meters. Here, you'll encounter schools of damselfish, glassfish, lionfish, and sometimes Napoleon wrasse.

Islands

After entering via the reef flat, we first dive through a series of shallow basins with depths of 7-10 meters and sandy bottoms, surrounded by impressive hard coral formations. In the third basin, we'll then turn into the vividly colored coral maze. After an immersive dive experience, we'll meander around the "island" back to our entry/exit point. We can expect to see large schools of yellowtail barracudas, sea bream, grouper, lionfish, Napoleon wrasse, and much more.

El Gehaza

The dive site El Gehaza, also known as ‘Fishermen’s Desaster,’ is a 10-minute drive away. Access is easy from the beach. A sandy slope down to 10 meters leads us to a shallow drop-off at 18 meters. The seabed consists mainly of sand with scattered small and larger blocks and seagrass meadows. The highlight is a relatively large block at 14 meters depth. The blocks are teeming with red lionfish, glassfish, shrimp, scorpionfish, and more. Additionally, you might spot seahorses, Red Sea Walkman, tailless seahorses, snails, fireworms, and flatfish.

Moray Garden

Swiss Franconia Reef

Located right next to Moray Garden, this expansive reef features a reef wall that drops between 18 and 20 meters. Along the wall, you'll find large black corals and sea fans. As we swim through schools of damselfish, we'll encounter scorpionfish, blue-spotted rays, and giant moray eels.

Umm Sid

A lesser-known and less frequently dived site, with occasional strong currents. Divers who are comfortable with currents will be impressed by the stunning gorgonians and table corals, as well as a variety of marine life such as long-nosed butterflyfish and lemon gobies.

Caves

Details
Caves is the southernmost dive site accessible by car in Dahab. In calm seas, a jump from the reef flat leads to a sandy slope bordered by a beautiful coral reef, home to scorpionfish, banded shrimp, and clouds of glassfish. After the reef, we reach the first cave or cavern at about 20 meters depth, which rises to 5 meters. The ceiling is covered with black corals, providing hiding spots for marine life. With a flashlight, we explore the caves and discover feather duster worms, nudibranchs, moray eels, and pufferfish. To the south, there's another cave at 12 to 5 meters depth, also adorned with black corals. The caves offer fantastic photo opportunities with impressive lighting effects.

Sha’ab Said

Located in the south of Dahab, this dive site is only accessible by boat. At Sha'ab Said, we dive through a densely populated coral maze that gradually drops to 20 meters. We swim through colorful schools of damselfish, barracudas, and surgeonfish, and with a bit of luck, we might encounter an octopus or even a turtle.

El Shugarat

El Shugarat, also known as "Little Trees," is renowned for its forest of gorgonian fans covering the sloping reef wall. This dive site is only accessible by boat (or camel) and offers encounters with nudibranchs, crocodile fish, and occasionally turtles.

Gabr el Bint

One of the most beautiful dive sites in South Sinai, accessible only by boat or camel. The left side of the dive site features colorful gorgonians and massive boulders, while the right side offers a steep wall with crevices and overhangs.
